Today, Billboard and Telemundo announced the hosts and honorees for Billboard Mujeres Latinas en la Música, the first-ever Latin Women in Music event, taking place at Watsco Center in Miami, FL, to be taped on Saturday, May 6, 2023 and air on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 9 PM/8 CT on Telemundo and Universo. The two-hour music special will celebrate Latin female artists, executives and creatives who are proactively working for positive change, inclusion and gender parity in the music industry. The show will also stream simultaneously on the Telemundo app and on Peacock.
The inaugural Billboard Mujeres Latinas en la Música will be hosted by Latin music icon and the Queen of Reggaeton, Ivy Queen,alongside Mexican actress and television host Jaqueline Bracamontes. The event will embody Latin culture featuring powerhouse performances, impactful historic moments, and can’t-miss surprises. The initial list of artist honorees includes:
- Grammy-nominated Mexican singer-songwriter Ana Gabriel, who will be recognized as the Living Legend. With more than two-dozen albums, Gabriel has serenaded fans for nearly five decades with cross-genre chart toppers, including 20 Top 10 Hits and 6 No. 1 Hits on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart.
- Afro-Colombian singer and rapper Goyo, renowned as part of the ChocQuibTown trio, debuted her first solo album “En Letra de Otro” in 2022 along with an HBO documentary highlighting her genre-defying work.
- Venezuelan actress and recording artist Evaluna whose songs “Indigo” and “Machu Picchu” both made the Billboard Global 200 chart in 2021.
- Argentinian urban pop superstar Emilia wholaunched her debut solo album called Tú crees en mi? in 2022 which featured her hits “intoxicao” and “cuatro veinte.” Emilia has placed 5 songs on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100, most recently earning her No.1 spot with “En La Intimidad” alongside Callejero Fino and Big One for 5 consecutive weeks since its release.
- Impacting culture worldwide, Multi-platinum Dominican phenomenon Natti Natasha always turns up the heat. Piling up 23+ billion streams, and amassing 16+ Billion YouTube views of her catalog, she’s the female Latin artist with the most Top 10s on Billboard’s Latin Rhythm Airplay and has earned ten No. 1s on Billboard charts. In tandem with music, she executive produced her own YouTube Original Series, starred in her own Amazon Prime docu-series and became the first Latin artist to launch her own sparkling wine brand, TASHA.
- Referred to as the “Queen of Latin Pop,” Award-winning Mexican singer Thalia is one of the best-selling Latin music artists of all time. She holds the title for the Mexican artist with the most views on YouTube and her latest album, “desAMORfosis” broke sales records hitting #1 on Amazon’s “Latin Pop” and “Latin Music,” #1 for physical sales in Mexico for two consecutive weeks, as well as #1 in digital sales of Latin albums on iTunes.

The inaugural Latin Women in Music event was announced earlier this year as an expansion of Billboard’s Women in Music franchise. Billboard and Telemundo aim to further elevate Latin music globally and celebrate the women who have made a concrete impact on Latin music through their artistic achievements, or through tangible, noteworthy actions that have brought measurable recognition and opportunity to women, effecting positive change to the industry as a whole.
