Salma Hayek has starred in many films throughout her career going all the way back to the early 90’s and has continued to give the audience such iconic roles. Let’s take a look back at her career and look at her most iconic roles. From portraying a dancing vampire queen in “From Dusk till Dawn” to her latest role in the upcoming Warner Bros. pictures Magic Mike’s Last Dance, Salma has proven she can rock any role she takes.
In celebration of Magic Mike’s Last Dance theatrical release, we’d like to take a look at Salma’s five most iconic roles:
- In 1996 Salma starred in From Dusk till Dawn which was directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by Quentin Tarantino. Even though Salma’s role in this film was short as she portrayed a dancing vampire in the film, this role was one of her most iconic. To this day women dress up as her character for Halloween.
- In 1999 she played the kidnapped daughter of a scientist alongside Will Smith in the Western, Wild Wild West. Her character Rita Escabor is saved by WIll Smith’s character who helps her save her father who was kidnapped by evil men trying to take down the U.S government.
- In 2002, Salma starred as Frida Kahlo in a biopic called Frida, following the life of Frida. This film made Salma nominated for an Academy Award and also won a Golden Globe for her iconic role as Frida.
- In 2021, She was casted as Ajak in Eternals a film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Salma’s charter was part of the Eternals who are immortal beings whose job is to protect earth from the Deviants.
- In 2023, Salma stars alongside Channing Tatum in the third movie of the Magic Mike franchise, Magic Mike’s Last Dance. Where Salma’s character is Magic Mike’s love interest in the film.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day comes the third installment of the blockbuster “Magic Mike” film franchise, the musical comedy “Magic Mike’s Last Dance.” The creative team behind the first film, which garnered praise from critics and audiences alike, has reunited to create the magic again: Channing Tatum reprises his role as Mike Lane and Steven Soderbergh returns to the helm with a script from Reid Carolin, who also wrote the first two films. And starring alongside Tatum is Salma Hayek Pinault (“House of Gucci,” “Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard”).
“Magic” Mike Lane (Tatum) takes to the stage again after a lengthy hiatus, following a business deal that went bust, leaving him broke and taking bartender gigs in Florida. For what he hopes will be one last hurrah, Mike heads to London with a wealthy socialite (Hayek Pinault) who lures him with an offer he can’t refuse…and an agenda all her own. With everything on the line, once Mike discovers what she truly has in mind, will he—and the roster of hot new dancers he’ll have to whip into shape—be able to pull it off?
The film’s producers are Nick Wechsler, Gregory Jacobs, Tatum, Carolin and Peter Kiernan. Julie M. Anderson serves as executive producer.
Also starring with Tatum and Hayek Pinault are Ayub Khan Din (“Ackley Bridge”), newcomer Jemelia George, Juliette Motamed (“We Are Lady Parts”) and Vicki Pepperdine (“Johnny English Strikes Again”).

A Warner Bros. Pictures Presentation, “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” slides into theaters only in North America on February 10, 2023 and internationally beginning 8 February 2023, and will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
